The School also recently played an active part in World Trade Day in Brecon – Children from both the Foundation Class and Key Stage 2 provided Brecon with great entertainment as they paraded through the streets with their African singing and dancing.

Some of the children read poems about Fair Trade and presented flowers to Kirsty Williams who had come to support and promote the work of Fair Trade in Brecon.

Brecon’s Fair Trade Group also played a part in Oxjam Brecon with a stall at The George Hotel on Takeover Day.

Since the first festival in 2006, Oxjam has raised more than £1.5 million in total for Oxfam’s work. That’s enough to buy 13,000 emergency shelters; 60,000 goats or 900 classrooms.
